Mission Statement:
The Disney Elementary School Education Foundation (DESEF), founded in 2002, provides an opportunity to enrich the academic, artistic, cultural, social and athletic education of the children of Walt Disney Elementary School, broadening their educational experiences to stimulate their natural desire to learn. This reinforces and promotes a positive journey to educational fulfillment within our diverse school community. The Foundation concentrates its efforts in two areas of financial support: programs that support quality teaching; and instructional materials and equipment that are unavailable through the district budget.
DESEF is working to acquire funds from parents, local companies and philanthropic foundations to provide for such things as library development, fine arts education, technology development, conflict resolution for students, professional development and reading support.
