What is DESEF?
The Disney Elementary School Education Foundation (DESEF) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit fundraising organization that is run by parent volunteers. DESEF is the primary fundraising organization at Walt Disney Elementary School. State funding for public schools in California is among the lowest in the nation. Our goal is to "fill the funding gaps" so that all students in TK-5 grades benefit from an enriched academic experience at Walt Disney. Without the generous donations from families and businesses, many programs and staff positions would cease to exist at our school.
DESEF's purpose is to enrich the academic, artistic, social, and athletic education of the children at Walt Disney. DESEF raises funds to pay for school programs, personnel, equipment, and services that are not funded through the school district. Please view the DESEF Funding Table 2016-17 for a list of programs and services that DESEF will support this year at Walt Disney.
